по теме “Talking on Family Matters ”

Цели:
Учебный аспект: совершенствование умений монологической речи, развитие умений чтения и аудирования по теме “Talking on Family Matters ”.
Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к истории своей семьи, воспитание семейных ценностей.
Познавательный аспект: расширение кругозора и формирование социокультурной компетенции учащихся.
Развивающий аспект: развитие языковой догадки, логического мышления, познавательных способностей учащихся.
Задачи: активизация пройденного лексико-грамматического материала, формирование понятия о синонимии, развитие умений рефлексии.
Оборудование и оснащение: учебник (М.З. Биболетова и др. «Enjoy English» 10 класс), музыкальный центр, компьютер, проектор, экран, презентации, аудиозаписи, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока
I. Начало урока
1. Организационный момент.
Good morning, dear students. Sit down, please. I am glad to see you again. How are you? Who is absent today?
2. Введение в ситуацию общения. We continue our talk about family matters. Today we are going to speak about your family history, to listen to the stories of the teenagers, to read the text about family problems.
II. Основная часть
1. Презентация проектов “Stories from the past” (совершенствование умений монологической речи, развитие умений аудирования).
Let’s listen to the projects “Stories from the past”. Your task is to listen to your classmates attentively and share your opinion about the projects.
(Two students present their projects.)
2. Обсуждение проектов (развитие умений устной речи).
Thank you very much. Your projects are worth discussing. Let’s discuss the projects.

3. Упражнение 18 (развитие умений аудирования с пониманием основного содержания).
Now we are going to listen to the teenagers speaking about their brothers and sisters (ex.18, p.60). Listen to them and match them with the information about their relatives.

4. Упражнение 19 (развитие умений аудирования с детальным пониманием).
Tick the activities and feelings the teenagers mention in their stories (ex. 19, p.60). Listen to the recording again and check your answers.

5. Работа с текстом – упражнения 23, 24, 25 (развитие умений чтения с пониманием основного содержания, формирование понятия о синонимии, развитие умений чтения с детальным пониманием прочитанного).
It goes without saying that there are problems in every family. Working with a partner, read the text about the twins’ behaviour and choose the sentence that best describes the twins (ex.23, p.61).
(After reading the text the students check the answer.)
Find the words and expressions in the text that have a close meaning with the following (ex.24, p.61):

(The students do the exercise and then read it.)
Read the text again and work in pairs to answer the questions. Discuss the questions with your partner (ex.25, p.61).
Who are the main characters of the story?
What do the twins do to communicate with each other?
What surprises Rose about the twins’ behaviour?
How does their father react?
Why do you think the twins behave like that?
Do you think the twins get on well with their father and Rose? Why? /Why not?
What do you think each of the characters feels during the scene?
(The students answer the questions.)
III. Заключительная часть
1. Объяснение домашнего задания.
Today we have spoken about family matters. Your homework is to read Jessica’s letter about her family problems and to give her some advice (ex.4, p.30-workbook).
2. Рефлексия.
In my view, you have learned a lot of new information about family matters. Do you agree with me? Do you think the information you have learned today is interesting and useful? What is your opinion about the lesson and your work at the lesson?
3. Подведение итогов работы.
Thanks a lot for your opinion. I would like to thank you for your projects and your work at the lesson. The projects are really interesting and informative. I give you excellent marks.
